Pragnya Mishra –
Do you have a mealtime poem? It has been a while that we sing along
“Blessings on the blossoms, Blessings on the roots, Blessings on the leaves and stems, And blessings on the fruit.”
Talking about food during meals and appreciating the farmers. Go on about where the food on our table is coming from. That’s us.
So, when we read the book “The Journey of Sugar with Zayn and Zoey” by @zaynandzoeyofficial the little Penguin was blown away. In this book, the curious twins’ Zayn and Zoey tell us the sugar story.
What did we love in the book?
-We were smitten by the ease of the story flow, putting the concept of processed food with relatable children characters and delightful illustrations. Did I mention the activity page at the end was thoroughly enjoyed?
-Another star of the book is its longevity, the subject would hold the interest of a wide age group 3-8. So we would return to read this book again and again for a long time.
This book left an impression on my child who now collects one fallen sugar cube and says it took so long to get this cube. Also insists on visiting sugarcane fields.
